Kwasi Fraser has more than 20 years of experience as a strategic business development professional and public sector executive. He is an effective leader with experience across the public and private sectors. His experience running a business development firm enabled him to engage and pursue national and international opportunities with clients such as the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Export/Import Bank, and the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.
Before joining GPTech, Kwasi established the National Minority Emerging and Innovative Technology Consortium to enable underserved and underrepresented minority-owned businesses to access “Other Transaction Authority,” a multi-billion-dollar federal contracting vehicle for solution research, development, demonstration, and deployment; he consulted for DXC Technology on mergers and acquisition due diligence; and served as an advisor on green hydrogen strategic solutions for the data center industry. He spent roughly a decade as a senior consultant and program manager with Verizon, where he gained keen knowledge on global integration deals and network connectivity solutions. Kwasi led engagements and served government and commercial agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, World Bank, Peace Corps, National Grid, and Procter & Gamble.
Kwasi was appointed by the current EPA Administrator, Michael Regan, to the EPA’s Small Communities Advisory Subcommittee of the Local Government Advisory Committee. He also served on the National League of Cities’ Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Federal Advocacy Committee; Transportation and Infrastructure Federal Advocacy Committee; and Unmanned Air Mobility (Drone) Integration Advisory Forum, representing legislative priorities of over 2,700 member cities, towns, and villages in Washington, DC. Here, Kwasi advocated on priorities that are important and relevant to local leaders.
Kwasi received a Master’s of Business Administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the State University of New York, Stony Brook. Over the years, Kwasi has expanded his professional education with an Executive Education Certificate from Harvard Business School, a Blockchain for Business Certificate from Cornell University, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, and a Project Management Professional certification. Outside of work, Kwasi is a strong community advocate and engaged citizen. He was elected to four consecutive terms as Mayor of Purcellville, Virginia, the economic hub of Western Loudoun County. Kwasi is the first African American to be elected Mayor in Loudoun County.
